Undo and redo changes

Undo and Redo let you step through saved versions of supported projects. They are useful after a layout change, a restyle, a page action, or a larger project update.

Undo a change

Choose Undo in the project rail, or press Cmd/Ctrl + Z in the editor. The project returns to the previous saved version.

The control is unavailable when there is no earlier version to restore or while another update temporarily locks editing.

Redo a change

After an undo, choose Redo or press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Z to move forward again. Redo becomes unavailable when there is no later version.

If you undo and then make a different edit, that new direction can replace the redo path.

Changes that move together

Some actions are saved as one project update. For example, applying a theme, resizing a layout together with its content, or changing to a product with a smaller page limit can move together when you undo.

When a product change removes trailing pages to fit a lower maximum, Undo restores the earlier product and those pages. Simply changing back to a larger product is not the same as undoing and does not restore removed pages by itself.

Versions marked "Support"

If you contacted us about a problem with your project, a member of our support team may have fixed it for you. Versions saved by our team are marked (Support) in your version history, so you can always tell which changes were made on your behalf. Undo works on these versions exactly like your own edits, so you can step back to your earlier version at any time.

If history is unavailable

  1. Wait for any visible project update to finish.
  2. Make sure you are in the editable project, not a shared view-only link.
  3. Confirm that at least one saved edit has been made.
  4. If the controls still do not respond, return to My Projects, reopen the project, and try again.
